The most obvious advantage of the in-house Beauty Salon/Barber Shop at The Park-Oak Grove is the easy, convenient access for our residents. I am able to be flexible in scheduling appointments to accommodate the individual needs of clients, and I do my best to work everyone in for their “special occasions.” Personal service is a must. No cookie cutter hair styles will do for our residents!

The door to my bright and cheerful shop is open, inviting residents to step in for a quick visit or to sit comfortably while waiting for their appointments. If our time together extends into mealtime, I am glad to pick up a resident’s lunch or dinner from the dining room! Conversation topics might range from clothing styles and cosmetics tips to the antics of great-grandchildren, and I also enjoy an occasional “men’s night,” when the gentlemen get together to swap stories while getting their hair cut.

To the joy of many residents, we have recently added other personal beauty services, such as facials, manicures and pedicures, also by appointment.

The most rewarding aspect of my twenty year career at The Park-Oak Grove is the rapport I have developed with my clientele. I’m fortunate to be accepted as a member of their extended family.
